Levels of impact of Hatha Yoga
Psysical level
The body becomes more flexible and mobile. Muscles are strengthened and stretched, tendons are stretched and joints are “lubricated”. This creates physical strength and flexibility. One focus is on the spine, which always remains in motion through mobilization and is neutralized to compensate. Physical complaints can go away over time, which can trigger a form of freedom because pain blocks us to a certain extent. Another focus is that we continually train our balance in yoga practice. This balance can support you in different situations in your live.
Psychological/emotional level
Through different breathing exercises and forms of meditation, we connect with our inner center. This means we listen carefully to our body and pay attention to it. Energy blockages are released and feelings find space. A space is created to allow things to happen, to feel things, to let go and to reduce stress. We nourish our bodies not only with food but also with thoughts.
At this level you can learn to become open to new things and live a positive attitude towards life.
